Principal's Message

Dear Henry Ford Elementary Families,

It is truly an honor to be the Principal of Henry Ford Elementary School. I am privileged to work with an outstanding staff to make a smooth transition for our students during this uncertain time. We are excited to work closely with you to ensure the success and well-being of all of our students.

We have been working hard to ensure a safe opening of school and to implement best practices to mitigate the risks associated with COVID-19. Our classrooms have been modified to increase social distancing, partitions placed on desks, signage has been installed throughout the building to guide students, masks are required on campus, and our schedule has been modified to allow for breaks and hand washing. A strong emphasis has been placed on social emotional learning in our curriculum in all of our PK-5 classrooms.  

Henry Ford Elementary School is such a special place to learn and grow. We are proud of our beautiful school and have high expectations for each and every student.  Our students are kind, compassionate, and inquisitive.  Together with our dedicated staff, we strive to make connections with students to help them feel valued, accepted, and safe.  Whether we are learning in person or remotely at home, our goal is to encourage active student engagement to foster a lifetime love for learning.

Partnering with families is crucial as we face many obstacles due to the global pandemic.  We appreciate your support as you work with students at home to practice safety protocols such as wearing a mask and washing hands. We encourage families to stay connected and informed by following our district website for important updates and information.

At Henry Ford Elementary we commit ourselves to the fundamental principle that we will make a difference through positive actions, rigor and relevance. Our top priority is for all students to attain academic excellence to be college prepared. In the course of our endeavor as professional educators we will afford all students the opportunity to excel to their fullest potential with a curriculum that is child-centered with emphasis on creativity, self-motivation and critical thinking. Furthermore, commitment from administrators, teachers, parents, students and the community will be an integral part in attaining our school vision.
